Kindergarten?!

Align Left
I can't believe my little girl is old enough to go to school. Today was her first day. Half her class started yesterday and the rest today. I like the idea of the small class size on the first day. I got to go into the classroom with her to drop her off. I saw that her spot today was seated next to a little boy so I was holding my breath. (She has cried multiple times during church for having to sit next to a boy- I'd appreciate this if she were a teen) She sat down fine but quickly had the sulky look on. She whispered "I'm not so sure about this." haha. cute. She seemed fine by the time I left just a couple minutes later. Her teacher seems real nice. Classic kindergarten teacher. She's currently at school so I'll have to find out how her day went later. (sigh) I miss her.
Oh, and I fear I have already failed her. All of the other little girls were wearing either a dress or a skirt and all but one had leggings on. Did I miss the memo?!?

Shots...

Don't you hate them?! I cried... I wasn't even the one getting them. =( =( Poor babes had a doctor visit today. She cried so hard she was silent for about 5 seconds. Twas terrible!
In better news she is in the 95th percentile for height and 60th for weight. Here's a pic from the last couple days.

Discovery Village

We headed up to Salem yesterday and checked out Discovery Village. It was a toss-up between that and enchanted forest. I learned at the fair the other day that Danica is kinda weary about some kinds of rides, as in will NOT go on them, so we chose Discovery Village. I have a mixed opinion of the place. They had a lot of cool things but it was pretty run down. I think it was probably super awesome twenty years ago before thousands of kids got to it. Kiddo had fun though and that's what is important. I think we used a whole bottle of hand sanitizer...

Danica digging for fossils. When I asked her months ago what she would want to do for a vacation she said she wanted to go camping some place where we could dig up dinosaur bones. Do you think this counts?
I made friends while she was uncovering bones.
This room continued onto a "stomach" you can crawl through.

Ahh, the bubble room. It was closed for cleaning when we arrived but by the time we were done with the adjacent room it was ready. Little did I know we should have enjoyed the precious seconds we were there undisturbed. It soon was packed with what I'm guessing were most of the kids at the place. Twas popular!
I got a kick out of this. That's Danica with a hula hoop and me taking the picture.
They had such random things. This room was China themed. We painted numbers with water on stones. Danica made a pretty good 5. (in chinese)
Babes had fun too. haha. We sat out while Danica played on the playground. I must say the playground was pretty awesome. It was so tall! I went down a slide that was in pitch black for several loops. I guess Danica went down it once with Rob and refused to go again. I don't blame her! We went down another similar but shorter slide a couple times and she was okay with it.
All in all it was a good mini-trip. We were very sad the fam we were supposed to meet up with couldn't make it though. (cough, cough, Keri, cough, cough) ;)

OMSI

We picked up Danica in Portland on the 15th and wanted to find something to do instead of drive up and straight back. OMSI. I hadn't been there since middle school and had been wanting to go. Last time I was there they had a dinosaur exhibit. I love dinosaurs! I wasn't too sure about the current exhibit: CSI. I can't even watch the CSI show because it shows creepy, gory things. Gross. We thought Rob would like it but he was disappointed they didn't have more hands on things to do with it. It was a lot of listening to things on a computer screen. They had three different scenarios set up. I think they purposefully sent us down a certain one because we had Danica with us. (They warn you it's for 12 and up.) It didn't have anything yucky...just bones in a desert. Danica said they were dinosaur bones. =) The rest of OMSI was great though. We had a lot of fun with the regular exhibits. Rob got to play more than I did because I was entertaining babes. I didn't realize how much stuff they had for someone kiddo's age. We only have a couple pictures because I gave Rob the assignment of taking pictures when he took Danica around. Yeah, right. He took one picture. One!

This is my cute little fam. I love them! Rob-Babes-Kiddo

Rob with his usual picture expression...
Kiddo in a raccoon's home? There was a pile of stuffed raccoons there.
When I was a kid I loved these. Well, I still do. =)

Two months.

Little Miss Mira is already two months. So sad. She cries less, well we can usually find out the reason for it now =) We love having her coo at us. Hmm, two month olds don't do much =) =)

Danica's song

Danica was singing the primary song I am a Child of God today. She explained to me that we get to live in heaven again when we die; instead of being thrown out with the garbage.

We have a new sis-in-law!

Rob's younger brother John got married Saturday. Rob was a groomsman and Danica the flower girl. It was a great weekend and really nice to see all the fam that came into town. =) As always the pictures are way out of order...(and I'd like to thank Mykie and Big Mark for being diligent in picture taking and letting me steal them!)

Here's Rob and Danica after the rehearsal dinner. We all had dinner out at Lamb Cottage. It was divine!
Here are KARI, John and Mykie on the steps of the Shelton-McMurphey-Johnson House where the wedding festivities were held. It's a historic house set on a hill in Eugene.
Cutting of the cake. They make a real cute couple. =)
=) =)
Awww! Rob and Danica...so cute!

I get a kick out of this one. Danica's smile is priceless. She is the greatest at fake smiles.

We're doing good. It's going to be quite boring around here for a while. Rob is working down at the court house doing basically what he was doing voluntarily and now getting paid. I was excited that they offered him a job because I know he enjoys it. I personally would not enjoy having to get up so early for it. =( I've taken to sleeping in til the afternoon. That's how long it's been taking to get a decent amount of sleep. We had a good night last night. Mira slept from 1ish to 8am! When I looked at the clock I was so confused. I thought it must say 3 at first. That was a good stretch of sleep for her! And me =) She's been a little better than usual these last few days. Well, I've noticed an improvement. Rob got tickets to the Em's game tonight. He took Danica while I went and hung out with my mom. She was VERY excited when I got home. Apparently she got to go out on the field and throw a ball somewhere? She must have been trying to throw it through a hole or hit something...I should ask her about it tomorrow. She got to keep the ball =)
